This is a great campground, located right on Bass Lake just 1 mile off US 31; 18 miles north of Traverse City. Elk Rapids is a charming, clean village with many shopping and entertainment venues and an excellent marina for Traverse Bay. Torch Lake is 10 minutes away; great fishing all around. We used CampClub USA for the two nights we stayed here. WI-FI worked ok in all sites we checked, and the cable TV was great. Sites 90-95 are best for satellite. Normal rates are $35-40/day. Good level sites all around.

Outstanding facilities and amenities. Rate entered is monthly. Someone spent serious $$'s on this place. Friendly, helpful staff, quick to resolve any problems. Large concrete pads, with all hookups. Free DSL is a little slow (10 Mps). Cable service is OK, could use some more channels. The only negative is the area and road noise, but you can't beat the place for convenience to D/T Houston and the medical center. Fishing lake (catch & release) is a real treat. Expansion is 90% complete as we speak, adding 34 perimeter spaces.

Outstanding park; the best I have ever been to. Huge pads in the north section. This place has everything you would expect for a winter Texan to need. A huge park with a full / excellent wood-working shop, a 9 table pool room, Grapefruit trees (free) at most sites, 3 pools and 3 laundrys. Rec room has many activities, and the Sat. breakfasts and Wed. dinners were 1st rate. I'm going back.
